Skyspares Ltd was incorporated in 2016 but our relationship with aerospace goes back over 30 years.
In 1982 Stephen Saywell founded Light Aero Spares Ltd and built the company from the ground up into a successful business. As the name suggests Light Aero was focused on the GA market however it also traded in surplus inventory, buying packages of stock as funds in this fledgling business allowed.
In 2004 Light Aero Spares was rebranded to LAS Aerospace and as the business continued to grow the decision was made to form a "Commercial Aerospace Division" dedicated to the purchase and sale of surplus Airline & MRO inventories. Managed by Stephen's son Mike this new division proved itself with a successful period of trading, then in May 2016 Stephen and Mike decided to transform it into a standalone company - Skyspares Ltd. Finally in 2019 LAS Aerospace was sold leaving Skyspares to trade as an independent company.
Since then Skyspares has continued to grow and has more than doubled its inventory with large acquisitions from Brussels Airlines, Monarch Aircraft Engineering and others.
We now have over 100,000 different part numbers in stock covering all the major aircraft manufacturers with emphasis on consumables for the Bae 146/RJ, Boeing 737/757 and Airbus A320.
Almost all of our stock is purchased in bulk from reputable Airlines and MRO's and with an emphasis on having full trace paperwork. When a new inventory is received we check and catalogue each part, recording the condition, checking shelf life and scanning trace paperwork. By purchasing in this way we can offer competitive pricing at or below list price coupled with the trace and certification that your organisation requires.

All of our stock undergoes a rigorous inspection process at both receipt and point of sale. We recognise that certification is important to our customers so we provide copies of the available certification with every quote and order as standard.
Skyspares undergoes regular quality audits by a third party and is accredited to ISO 9001:2015, you can download a copy of our ISO certificate below. We are also BAE approved and have successfully met the quality requirements of many OEMs and Airlines.
